Essay number one.
I learned a lot of stuff in the first six weeks of computer multimedia and animation; first off I learned the TEK’s and how they apply to my knowledge of the computer class. In Technology Education, students gain knowledge and skills in the application, design, production, and assessment of products, services, and systems. Knowledge and skills in the proper application of technology, the design of technology, the efficient production of technology, and the assessment of the effects of technology prepare students for success in the modern world. The study of technology allows students to reinforce, apply, and transfer their academic knowledge and skills to a variety of interesting and relevant activities, problems, and settings. In addition to their general academic and technical knowledge and skills, students gain an understanding of career opportunities available in technology and what employers require gaining and maintaining employment in these careers. Some of my personal experiences with the TEKS have been very experimental, although, one of my favorites was when I actually finished the darn project of knowing all the TEKS, it was so BORING!! I mean why do we have to know all this bull! It’s a load of bull, I think that our class should be able to do projects on our own with little assistance from our teacher, but that’s just me, I’m sure many other students have their own opinion about this class, I’m just glad to get passed the TEKS thing. One thing that I did enjoy is testing videogames then blogging about them on blogger, which was very fun. The second six weeks, was much more excellent, because we finally got programs that we can use to begin our projects on in which I learned about Photoshop CS3 which is the NEWEST addition to the adobe masterpiece suite collection. I had done some lessons with Photoshop and although I got the basics, there is still so much you can do with it, which is very entertaining and it can actually make 50 minutes seem like 5 minutes. What I learned in the first lesson was how to shade, I got to use tools like blur, sharpen (which is very stupid it makes everything greenish) and the magic wand which was SO COOL! I also got to use other programs like pivot stick figure animator, it was very fun, I made a cartoon, and it was about this one figure that fought another, and right when one won, the end of the world happened in which EVERYONE lost then a flying saucer came and blew up the world after the world ended, although it doesn’t make sense it’s very confusing but its actually funny. I also did another one and I used A LOT of frames, so it made everything in sync so it looked like you could see every frame, it was very cool actually, although things move a lot slower with more frames I had to speed up the frames per second (FPS). I learned a lot of stuff these last two six weeks and I plan that we will do even more, I cant wait till we use 3DS max (3D studio max) version 9.0 which is the newest version!!!
Essay Number 2.
In the future when we discover that landfills hold valuable minerals and materials that can be used to our advantage will be in the year 3012. I know this because I can go into the future, and what is going to happen exactly is, after the 15th world war the world will be split in to two east and west, this will mark the beginning of the era called the cold war. In which earth we be obliterated, and when we fight for our very own survival mutant pirate space ninjas with their army of evil mutants which will come to this earth and eat us if we don’t fight, for their amusement. It is going to be difficult, and in the end both sides will combine to fight the MPSN (mutant pirate space ninjas) and with the landfills everywhere we will wont invent but will steal alien technology from the MPSN, and use it to our advantage. The first instrument will be called a Xerojayromoi!!!! Which will be able to dig deep into the earths crust without damaging any of the materials or minerals that we will need to fight the MPSN. It will look like a regular shovel, but instead of using it like one a small red particle beam will spit out of the dirty raggedy old shovel, and will make a hole the size of a ordinary manhole, and if aimed right can go strait down, but if gone down two far, you could penetrate the earths crust thus destroying the world so must be used with caution. Another tool that will be used is called the destrcutomactouto ray (say that three times fast) it will like a small sphere but when the small button is pressed you better run FAR, this little bomb doesn’t blow up but it disintegrates ANYTHING, In a five meter area which isn’t too far but if used with enough power can be a strong force because for every destrcutomactouto, it gains +5 of a radius and 5 meters deep. Even though its not much we will use these tools to our advantage, in which we will turn the battle around and in 50 more years we will acquire a temporary moment of peace.
